Principle # 2 Building A Community
As you are going through my series of discussions on lead generation it's important that you stay connected to the bigger picture; in which your lead generation activity will play a key role.
Consider the bigger picture to be the following:
The responsibility of the business leader is to start, grow, and sustain a community (i.e. education, lead generation, customer acquisition, and customer retention). Lead generation is done to build the community. All other functions are created to support the growth and sustainability of your community i.e. information technology, finance, operations, tech support, customer service etc...
