In todays' competitive environment it is important that executives stay humble. It is easy to be the know it all- in the meetings and to gloss over the ideas of subordinates as you insincerely placate and nod. Do not fall into the danger of thinking you are the only one with the intelligent ideas in the room and it is your holy calling in life to teach the group what they do not know. Take a new approach and actually listen and evaluate ideas from constituents. The ideas of others when evaluated may lead to more then you bargained for. Escape your own ego by choosing a few men and women in your company to be your group of thinkers.
I have had the opportunity of introducing my clients to the following principle for achievement. This concept is called: Master Mind Group. When people come together to reach a purpose, solve a problem, to be at a personal or professional best, or to restructure an organization and take action, great achievements will began to occur.
I want to encourage you with the following excerpt:
“Andrew Carnegie stated that he, personally, knew nothing about the technical end of the steel business; moreover, he did not particularly care to know anything about it; the specialized knowledge, which he required for the manufacture and marketing of steel, he found available through the individual units of his MASTER MIND GROUP.” - Napoleon Hill.
Mr. and Ms. Executive form a 'Personal Board of Directors'. A small group of men and women that are allowed to ask the hard questions is important for an individual who desires transformation in his or her life and business. Give people the mental and emotional space to hold you accountable, it will lead to greatness in the long-term.
Having your FREE evaluation with an executive coach is a value of $500.
